It was only a couple of weeks ago that Florida prepared for the arrival of Hurricane Helene. Yet now, the entire state is in the eye of Hurricane Milton which has just been upgraded to a category 5 hurricane, with sustained winds of 160mph.

Walt Disney World closes parks for Helene’s arrival

Florida is again bracing itself for the onslaught of another hurricane. This time – hurricane Helene.
She is forecast to hit today, 26th September, as a category 3 hurricane. As of 2:25pm local time, it is now a category 3 with wind speeds of 120mph. Effects are starting to be seen across the coastline with reports of possible “unsurvivable” storm surges expected.

Disney Parks to close for Hurricane Ian

In the worsening weather conditions reminiscent of Hurricane Matthew, back in October 2016, Disney Parks in Florida are closing again.
This time, they are closing the Disney theme parks and water parks two days for Hurricane Ian, starting tomorrow, September 28th.

Walt Disney World to close for Matthew’s arrival

The Walt Disney World resort announced on Twitter earlier today that it will be closing all theme parks, water parks, golf courses, Disney Springs and the ESPN sports complex for hurricane Matthew’s arrival.
The parks will close at 5pm local time today (Thursday) and will not open at all on Friday.
