Part 4 - Stolen by Dashboard Confessional

One of the selling points of Scrubs, in my opinion, is that throughout all eight series, it covers the major events in life: births, deaths, careers, house-buying and of course: weddings.

In season 6, episode 20 (My Cold Shower) we get another dose of Elliot’s crazy when her boyfriend, Keith, proposes. She is clearly shocked by the proposal, and Keith is overjoyed that she says yes!

The joy is short-lived, however, when the ring he bought doesn’t quite fit and Elliot tells him she has to take back her “yes” because she always pictured this moment as being perfect. And a perfect proposal includes a ring that fits.

Keith tells Elliot that he’ll sort the ring and she can tell him when she wants him to propose again. This sends Elliot further into her crazy when she organises a full-on surprise proposal party for all her friends to be there when he proposes.

At the party at which, of course, Elliot pretends to be surprised, Stolen by Dashboard Confessional plays. It’s also a pivotal moment when JD realises his feelings for Elliot and that the proposal should, in fact, have been him, and not Keith.

You have stolen my heart.
